2008
This
is V³’s
first 100% Shiraz.
As the
vineyard has matured the quality of the fruit has improved,
2008 was the first opportunity to produce a single varietal
wine. Especially selected barrels of Shiraz were kept separate
for the strength of fruit expression.
Only
70 doz. made.
The V³
vineyard is low cropping each year, but only the best fruit
is hand picked and selected for its flavour. This is the first
release of a Shiraz in the “house style”.
The aroma shows a five spice character behind a slightly peppery
fruit note. This carries through to the palate where it supports
an elegant well balanced structure. American oak was used
for the maturation of this wine and its contribution is a
soft vanilla flavour with silky tannin texture.
