Medal winner at the 2015 Mudgee Wine Show
This wine exhibits ripe, balanced fruit flavours that are
supported by softly integrated oak characters. A firmly structured
wine with fruit carrying through to a savoury finish with
a touch of pepper. It has fullness in the mouth and is a wine
with some length. Yummo.
Only 147 doz. made
of this (60%) Cabernet and (40%) Shiraz blend were carefully
selected in the vineyard. Both varieties were fermented traditionally
in open fermenters and hand plunged over a period of 9 days.
At the completion of fermentation the must was basket pressed
and the wine transferred to a combination of new and old French
and American oak barrels.
Stored carefully this wine will reward 7 to 10+ years cellaring.
