Shiraz 2013
We did
a ‘let’s check how it’s coming along’
tasting of this 100% Shiraz.
It was
a sample made up equally from all the barrels; and we
loved it.
It’s
not meant to be this easy. Lisa Bray, our winemaker, produced
this magic potion.
Only
102 doz. made.
Dark plum
in colour, this rich wine displays dark berry characters and
hints of spice and black pepper. Palate length is enhanced
by the subtle integration of new and seasoned French and American
oak. This adds complexity and depth to the wine.
Store
carefully and continue to be rewarded over the next 7 to 10
years. 14.8% vol.
A
big hit with the family. A no questions asked certifiable
Reserve.
Took
a sip pre bottling and it was all class.
Enjoy
this complex wine with rich foods but keep the conversation
simple. Hope there is a glass left to have with the
cheese; before the nights out.
Decant
for a couple of hours if possible.
